Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born at Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix showed a flair for athletics early on discovering her talent for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks after the first time she tried out. Felix completed high school and subsequently signed a pro-contract with Adidas. In the year 2004, she enrolled in the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place in Athens Greece. She broke a Junior World Record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 second. Felix became the world's youngest winner in the 200m in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top third in each of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
