Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born at Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix was aware that she had a talent in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition she was ranked within the top two places at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003, signed a sports contract with Adidas. Then she was accepted into the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. The first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for the 200m race in 22.18 seconds. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in running 200m. The following year, she defended the title in front of her Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked within the top three athletes at her particular events.
